About Mrs. Groves... Katie Groves is entering her fourteenth year of teaching and is currently the Band Director and Music Technology teacher at McClure Health Science High School in Duluth, Georgia. She also holds leadership roles as the GMEA District 13 Band Division Chair for high school and as a Fine Arts Mentor for Gwinnett County Public Schools. Throughout her career, Mrs. Groves has taught Band, AP Music Theory, Music Technology, and General Music across elementary, middle, and high school levels. She has also contributed to curriculum writing teams in Gwinnett, Fulton, and Clarke counties. Mrs. Groves is frequently invited as a clinician and woodwind sectional coach in the metro-Atlanta area, and served as a breakout leader for the 2025 GSU Summer Leadership Institute.
