Nepal has witnessed its extremes the past week. 72 lives have been lost, leaving families and the nation grieving. At the same time, we have witnessed a milestone: the appointment of Nepal’s first Lady Prime Minister. We hold both of these realities together: mourning the loss of the innocent lives lost while also recognizing this historic moment and carrying hope for the future of the country that is inclusive to all.
