MEMBER SPOTLIGHT Chloe Ormisher Chloe and her mother Steffanie have been volunteering in Snow Canyon for over two years as Docents. But that wasn’t enough for Chloe! Chloe served as the 2024-25 Society President for the Jemima Johnson Society Children of the American Revolution. Each year the Society President picks a President’s Project, which they support and fundraise for throughout the year, Chloe chose Friends of Snow Canyon! Utilizing the Docent pop up educational programs, Chloe made presentations to other Daughters of the American Revolution chapters throughout the State raising over a $1300 Donation to FOSC. Chloe explains “I think it is very important to protect public lands for posterity and to educate the public to do the same. It has been a pleasure to work with the Friends of Snow Canyon and I look forward to future service opportunities with Snow Canyon State Park…” It is Members like Chloe and the Ormisher family, and ALL OF YOU that enable Friends of Snow to continue to support the Park. TRAIL UPDATES!! THANKS TO OUR MEMBERS dues and contributions, the stairway to Scout Cave is completed ! FRIENDS paid for part of the materials AND a portion of the hardworking seasonal Trail Technician's salary who performed the labor. SPECIAL APPRECIATION, KUDOS to HUNTER BELCHER 👏👏👏 Hunter has worked tirelessly on this project, going all the way back to late last year. What was once 76 dilapidated log steps that were increasingly dangerous, is now 112 evenly spaced steps that are inset in the hillside, complete with rock lining. Please visit early in the cooler temps and check it out! The new White Rocks parking lot and trail are now open for use.
