We are saddened to report the passing of long time member, Rich Scamehorn, on Saturday, November 1. Rich has been a member since 1977, serving as club president in 1996-97 and as a member of our board of directors. Rich led many of our service efforts; including planting and maintaining our flower garden at Murray Park; coordinating our club's schedule with ringing bell for the Salvation Army; chairing our scholarship committee; and planning our annual Children's Fair, and so much more. Rich could always be counted on to provide the invocation at our meetings; and as one member said of Rich after hearing the news of his passing, Rich's leadership and willingness to serve our youth and community have helped make our club what it is. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and the lives he touched. He will be missed. (fb)
