Mission
The mission of Every Vote Counts Inc. is to foster an engaged public by establishing campus chapters and partnerships that become hubs of civic engagement. They achieve this through three primary initiative areas:
- Elections and Voter Engagement: Working to increase voter registration and turnout, particularly among students on college campuses, where historically, turnout has been low.
- Civic Education: Implementing broad-based education programs to ensure new voters are knowledgeable about America's institutions and their civic responsibilities.
- Pro-Voter Advocacy and Reform: Advocating for policies that strengthen democracy by ensuring every eligible American can easily exercise their right to vote.
Initiatives
- EVC Grant Program: This program provides funding support to student-led initiatives related to civic engagement, helping to amplify efforts across campuses.
- Time Off to Vote: An initiative advocating for flexible work schedules to allow employees to vote without conflicting with their work hours, emphasizing that democratic rights should not be constrained by employment obligations.
