The Charles L. “Buddy” Weill Fund, a permanent endowment within the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, has committed a $1 million grant to Well•Spring, A Life Plan Community—to help build a new and expanded aquatic and fitness center. The funds, born from a bequest left by Mr. Weill, will be disbursed in $200,000 installments over five years. This grant is the largest single gift from the Weill Fund so far and reflects its mission to enhance facilities and services benefiting older adults. Buddy Weill himself was deeply involved with Well-Spring and played a key role in its development, serving on its board and championing its mission of fostering a vibrant community for older residents.
