North Augusta Forward is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in North Augusta, South Carolina. It was previously known as North Augusta 2000 before changing its name in 2015 to better reflect its ongoing mission.

North Augusta Forward originated as North Augusta 2000 in 1999. It was founded by 65 community leaders who developed a comprehensive vision for the city. The organization's initial capital campaign, which ran from 2001 to early 2006, focused on improving Quality of Life, Education, Parks and Recreation, and Economic Development.

Over the years, North Augusta Forward has evolved through several strategic campaigns:

• Continuing the Vision (2007): Expanded its focus to include community engagement and culture.
• The Vision Continues (2011): Incorporated community feedback through an online strategic planning survey.
• A New Path Forward (2018): Identified six critical initiatives for further community development.

Mission and Focus

The mission of North Augusta Forward is to inspire, lead, and implement a united vision to provide the best possible quality of life for the community of North Augusta. It focuses on creating a vibrant and sustainable downtown area and supporting local initiatives such as the North Augusta Greeneway—a 12-mile paved trail promoting recreation and connectivity.
