Meet Jean Kee, a 20 Under 40 Supplier from John Hardy! Jean Kee joined John Hardy in 2013 as a jewelry designer, initially based in Bangkok. She has grown with the brand over the years, relocating to the New York executive office in 2018. Now VP of Design, Jean leads the brand’s creative development, working closely with artisans to craft jewelry rooted in traditional techniques and a strong commitment to sustainability. A hands-on creative, Jean values quality and longevity over speed and quantity. She thrives in collaborative environments, bringing together passionate individuals to pursue a shared vision. Her frequent travels to Bali and Bangkok keep her connected to the people, artistry, and techniques that define the John Hardy brand. Jean believes the process and story behind each piece are as meaningful as the final creation. She holds a dual degree in Industrial Design and Metals & Jewelry from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she developed a rare balance of artistic passion and technical precision. Jean is rarely without a sketchbook—except when rock climbing or swimming, where pencils, unfortunately, don’t perform quite as well. (fb)
