Pies for a cause! Methodist Hospital providers and staff members raised over $1,000 for the Omaha Heart & Stroke Walk with a pie throwing event Wednesday. With each donation, a team member got a chance in a drawing to pie the doctor or leader of their choice. Those on the receiving end of the pies were Chad Reade, MD, vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer for Methodist Hospital and Methodist Women’s Hospital; Brett Richmond, executive vice president for Methodist Hospital and Methodist Women's Hospital; cardiothoracic surgeon John Batter, MD; hospitalist Benjamin Fangman, DO; interventional cardiologist William Nester, MD; interventional cardiologist Charles Olson, MD; Britney Cope, service leader for the Cardiac Unit; and Carrie Phillips, cardiovascular service line executive.
