🎭 The Tony Awards air this Sunday, June 8—and we're celebrating with a look back at one of Broadway’s most powerful moments: Cynthia Erivo’s soul-stirring performance in the 2015 Tony Award-winning revival of THE COLOR PURPLE. Erivo took home the Tony for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Celie, delivering an unforgettable rendition of “I’m Here” that marked her rise to stardom. The original 2005 Broadway production also earned accolades, including a Tony Award for its leading lady, LaChanze, and 10 additional nominations.
