✨📖 Alamance Reads 2025: A Memorable Event ✨ Last week, Alamance County Public Libraries hosted Alamance Reads 2025 featuring Adele Myers, the author of The Tobacco Wives. Guests were invited to join us on September 11th at Alamance Community College and First Presbyterian Church in Burlington for an engaging author talk, followed by a book signing. We extend our gratitude to Adele Myers for sharing a live reading from her novel, which is inspired by Winston-Salem and R.J. Reynolds Tobacco. During the event, she discussed her insights and experiences regarding the publishing process and how to navigate the literary world. Adele also touched upon various topics, including writing from different perspectives, sharing her journey of capturing the voice of the young protagonist, Maddie. Adele expressed her inspiration drawn from renowned authors like Kristin Hannah and Maya Angelou. We would like to thank everyone who attended this year's author talk. It was a pleasure to meet Adele and come together to celebrate a fantastic book. We eagerly anticipate our next author event in the Spring. Stay tuned!
