🇺🇸🇰🇷 KASC 18: New York City Recap After a week in Seoul, delegates crossed the Pacific and spent their second week in New York City. Between policy discussions and cultural stops, they got a taste of how global issues play out at the local level. 🌏 Highlights included: 📍 Asia Society – attending a forum on the future of the U.S.–ROK alliance with speakers like Kyung-wha Kang and Senator Andy Kim. 🏛️ United Nations – touring UN headquarters and seeing diplomacy up close. 🤝 Korea Society – marking the 72nd anniversary of the Korean War Armistice through panels with veterans, scholars, and community leaders. 🌆 Council on Foreign Relations & NYC Mayor’s Office – conversations on foreign affairs and city-level diplomacy. 🎤 Final Forum – delegates shared their roundtable work and elected the next Executive Committee. 🍽️ Plus: picnics in Central Park, dim sum in Chinatown, the Tenement Museum, and even a Broadway show 🎭. In New York, KASC 18 came full circle: connecting policy discussions with lived experience in one of the world’s most global cities.
