The Spiritual Tsunami has begun In the fall of 2005 I had a dream. My wife, Tina, and I were in a small boat on what looked like the Gulf of Mexico, and we were being hammered by huge, violent waves. We had to be strategic and intentional with the wheel to keep from capsizing. As I turned the wheel left, I saw a massive tsunami to our east—at least seventy feet tall. I swung right to avoid it, and then I saw an equally large wave coming from the west. The two waves were heading to meet in the middle. I knew we had to get behind them or we wouldn’t survive, so I slammed the throttle to full and broke through to the backside. When those two waves collided, the ocean floor was exposed and our boat was left sitting on sand. Another wave was coming, so I gunned the motor; the prop threw sand and finally the boat lurched out of the dry spot. There was an urgent need to get behind the wave and ride it out. Once we were on the backside and riding the wave, steering and adjusting the throttle brought a surprising sense of momentum, power, ease, and peace. I woke up then, and I heard the Lord speak: “I am sending a spiritual tsunami across this nation. Prepare for it.” Right after that I saw a vision: a vast sea of people with their hands up, waiting to be rescued. Every time our little boat drove by and picked someone up, the boat instantly expanded two feet—rescue was easy. Thousands were waiting; we only had to drive by and lift them out. For twenty years I have held onto that dream, sharing it at different times, confident that what God spoke He would do. Then, just this past Sunday—almost twenty years to the day—I saw what I believe is the beginning of that movement. Four days after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, as I rose to preach, I heard the Lord again: the spiritual tsunami has started. I believe that event has stirred believers—young and old—across the world into a deeper walk with God and is helping to cultivate a revival like we’ve never seen. True revival still looks the same: people repent and turn to God. He’s calling the remnant to rise—no more powerless pulpits, no more powerless churches. The world needs a different witness than the last fifty years have offered. This latter-day harvest, the Lord has told me, will be greater than any move in history. I refuse to be overwhelmed by the waves. But I don’t plan to stand aside, either. I want to be part of the solution—helping rescue people and carry this work forward until the Lord calls me home.
