Thanks to the fast-acting, generous, kind donors who contributed yesterday evening, Chipmunk was able to go to physical therapy this morning for a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan. Many thanks to Drs Kristen Emond and Christine Huxley of @boisek9fitness for fitting us into the schedule and confirming what we suspected: Chipmunk is experiencing pain and weakness in his hind end. We are starting several exercises right away to build strength and improvement movement. Plus, we’re coordinating with his general vet for pain management medications and setting up a schedule for weekly laser treatment. Much of Chipmunk’s treatment will be in the hands of the trainers in our EPIC Program, and he’ll be closely supervised by our staff with weekly updates and check-ins with Dr Emond. We are confident that we’re on the right track to helping this guy feel much better soon. We raised enough money for today’s session and one more, but if you’re able to help with his upcoming expenses, donations toward Chipmunk’s rehab are greatly appreciated.
