Today's building was the Margowski drug store. The photos are from today, a historic picture that includes Margowski Drug Store, Ulm & Lewis Insurance and City Hall, and a rare historic interior! "William S. Margowski of Delphi has purchased the drug store of the late Dr. M.W. Edmonds. He was associated with Dr. Edmonds for nearly 30 years and for the past 15 years had been in complete charge of the business." Delphi Journal, June 7th, 1906. Dimmick and Allen boots and shoes were in the building on the corner of Franklin and Washington, replacing the frame structure that housed their business before the fire. The Italianate structure is notable for its oxeye windows, decorative brick corbels, curved window arches, and arched storefront. For many decades this corner was home to Clifford's Corner Grocery.
