In 1971, GLSP was incorporated by the YLS of the State Bar to “provide legal services to indigent persons to the fullest extent possible.” GLSP serves eligible individuals in the 154 of Georgia's 159 counties that fall outside of Metro Atlanta. GLSP has offices in Albany, Athens, Atlanta, Augusta, Brunswick, Columbus, Dalton, Gainesville, Macon, and Savannah.
