In 1984, then President Ronald Reagan deemed the third Sunday of July, "National Ice Cream Day". That has morphed into "National Peach Ice Cream Day" which many Residents were more than happy to celebrate! Activities purchased 5 gallons of homemade peach ice cream from Country Maid Ice Cream in Richfield and there wasn't a teaspoon left by the end of the gathering! (fb)
