Over the years, ASLD has strengthened our partnership with @anythinklibraries, which are found throughout Adams County and offer resources, classes, and a place for community. We offer free multi-generational art classes at several Anythink Library locations. Art is a powerful force in many people’s lives, including those affected by the prison system. The current exhibit, Highwalls at RedLine Contemporary Art Center, features work by artists who have been incarcerated, as well as artists engaging in conversations about these institutions. The exhibition’s curators are collaborators dedicated to increasing access to artmaking within these spaces. At ASLD, we believe this work is important, which is why we offer art workshops in local correctional facilities through our Art in Prison program. (fb)
