Alaska Search and Rescue Dogs ASARD was formed in 1986 and is a nonprofit volunteer search and rescue organization based in Anchorage Alaska. WhatWe Do ASARD teams are trained in wilderness avalanche water cadaver trackingtrailing urban and disaster search activities. Our primary purpose is to assist in statewide search and rescue SAR operations using teams of highly trained search dogs and searcherhandlers. ASARD Believes With over 25 years of practice and experience ASARD believes there are common training and team characteristics that make a successful missionready search dog team.
