We were honored to host the German Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Steffen Seibert, at MEET Summer. It was deeply meaningful to introduce him to our work and share the impact of our community. Most of all, we were inspired, once again, by how much our students move and impress everyone who comes to meet them. MEET the alumni: Ahmed joined MEET in 2007 with a simple goal: to bring people together. Through the Constellation program, our executive leadership program for MEET alumni community members that includes 2 week long seminar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he developed an idea to use traditional crafts as a bridge between Palestinian and Israeli women, fostering dialogue through creativity. “MEET taught me how to turn an idea into something real; It gave me the confidence to pursue my vision.” With guidance from his Constellation mentor, Naomi Fortis, director of Feel Beit, a cultural hub in Jerusalem promoting Palestinian-Israeli cooperation, Ahmed brought his idea to life. Today, he leads Community Mondays, weekly workshops at FeelBeit where people from all backgrounds sit side by side, weaving, embroidering, and building community through shared experience. What began as a small initiative has blossomed into a vibrant, growing network, creating meaningful friendships, and a space for genuine connection across divides. ✨ Ahmed is encouraging young leaders to build bridges and shape a better future.
