We serve the poor, those who often are alone and in need – regardless of a person's religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender ... In Florida and Uganda. Our mission is to support and affirm all people. We believe in the dignity of the individual without regard to age, gender, creed, ethnic origin and sexual orientation. We believe that selfless service enriches the lives of those who give and those who receive. The River Fund was founded in 1990 in order to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to people living with HIV/AIDS. We inspire volunteerism by providing hands on opportunities for service both locally in Florida and internationally at our projects in Uganda. Our volunteers form bonds of compassion with those we serve. In this way we create a model of person-to-person compassionate care.
