Amelia Wallace, ASPE President-Elect, recently attended the FLASIC Conference in Bogotá, Colombia. Below, she shares her reflections on this inspiring international experience. ____ Reflecting on an incredible experience at the Federación Latinoamericana de Simulación Clínica y Seguridad del Paciente (FLASIC) Conference in Bogotá, Colombia. It was truly a privilege to participate, and an honor to be invited by Diego Andres Diaz-Guio. I am deeply grateful for the warm welcome from our colleagues at SOCOL Sim (Colombia Simulation Society) and special thanks to Mauricio Vasco Ramirez, President of SOCOL Sim; Frederico Ferrero Etchegoyen, President of FLASIC; Edgar Mohar, Administration at FLASIC for their leadership and hospitality. A heartfelt thank you as well to and all who contributed to making this event so impactful. We were also excited to present alongside our affiliated society SESAM, with the inspiring contributions of Pedro Cartaxo Cintra and Gustavo Norte, as well as our colleague from the U.S., Roxane Gardner of CMS Harvard. I was renewed by the intelligence, innovation, heart, and energy shared throughout this conference. The passion of this vibrant community of simulation experts is nothing short of inspiring. This gathering truly reinforced the spirit of ASPE’s vision—to transform professionals through the power of human interaction.
