Hello Camp La Verne Friends & Family! We are excited to announce our newest gathering at CLV... It's our FALL FESTIVAL APPLE CAMP 2025! 🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏 Please come support us for one or two days the Weekend of October 11th/12th for some Fall Apple Picking at a local private Mountain Orchard just 15 minutes away! We will head off to the orchard around 9:30am. (There will be ridesharing for those without a medium clearance vehicle.) After harvest, we make our way back to the Camp La Verne Kitchen & Open Ring Campfire to learn the art of making and canning REAL Copper Kettle Apple Butter! As well (for the kids and adults)we will be creating and crafting Holiday Apple Ring Wreaths & Garlands, and...unraveling the secret of baking the perfect Dutch Oven Apple Pie over the fire. This wouldn't be possible without previous CLV Camp Managers and longtime Apple aficionados Karen and Curt Rowland from Indiana! Later in the evening, after we finish up our canning duties, there will be guitar and song around the campfire! Then, grab a cabin and stay the night if you like and wake to an amazing breakfast, more apple crafting, and then a walk to the lake. Meals will be provided and we are definitely gonna need to make some hand cranked Ice Cream to go with that pie!!! PS: *Everyone goes home with LOTS of Apple butter and a big bag of apples! A few pecks anyway 😉 So What's Included? Take Home Apples & Apple Butter (4 Pints or MORE depending on attendance) Canning Jars/Lids Wreath Decorating Supplies (Ribbons & Cloth) Meals: Saturday Lunch & Family Style Dinner Sat Night Stay Overs: A Cozy Cabin & A Sunday Morning Apple Pancake & Continental Breakfast Donation: Our suggested 'Summer Camp Fund' donation for this event: Saturday Attendance $50pp ($20 for kids 18 and under) Saturday & Sunday $75pp ($30 for kids 18 and under)...which reserves you a cozy private or community cabin with an Apple Blueberry Flapjack Continental Breakfast to follow the next morning!
