Operation Water The Water Crisis in Mozambique National statistics show that from 2014 to 2018 the urban population with access to water reduced from 85 to 78 while the rural population reduced from 52 to 45. Only 35 of the population lives in districts with improved water and sanitation coverage and districts within provinces with the highest concentration of people living below the poverty line have the lowest levels of access to water and sanitation. Republic of Mozambique Voluntary National Review 2020. Development Project in Guru Operation Water has rehabilitated the water system in Guru Mozambique by restoring connections to over 2400 families in the city.
