Youths at our El Monte campus beat the heat on the 4th of July with a water slide, snow cones, and a feast of BBQ favorites! They had a great time and enjoyed the summer holiday. 🌞 (fb)
In celebration of Juneteenth, our kitchen staff prepared a special dinner that included grilled steak and shrimp kabobs, BBQ chicken thighs, BBQ baked beans, jalapeño poppers, potato salad, banana pudding, and red velvet cake. The youths enjoyed a fun afternoon playing a slip-and-slide kickball game on our softball field while kitchen supervisor Lashan and food service workers Carolina and Erica prepared the meal. Additionally, dorm supervisors Karen and Roneshia engaged the youths in various activities to teach them about the history of Juneteenth. The youths completed worksheets, created necklaces and bracelets, and played a bingo game, all with a Juneteenth theme. (fb)

Why Were Here Over 400000 children each year are not able to live with their families as the result of abuse neglect and abandonment.
