Last week, Tom and Kendra hosted the 4th Working Effectively with Livestock Producers (WELP) course of the year in Davis, CA. NatGLC welcomed a fantastic group of NRCS employees—averaging 2.7 years of service—for a hands-on week visiting three ranching operations across Northern California. From flood-irrigated pastures near Davis to the hills of the Capay Valley, each site showcased a different management approach and sparked valuable conversations about the challenges and opportunities of the annual range. Students also learned about RGOAL, the Department of Defense’s regenerative grazing initiative, and connected with industry experts.
