Dmytro dreams of going to school in his hometown in Odesa region. He says he won’t return to kindergarten because he is seven years old now! Moreover, a boy plans to ride a bike to school like an adult 🥰 But now Dmytro is in Kyiv, where he has been fighting blood cancer for over a year. He completed his inpatient treatment and no longer needs to be at the hospital 24/7. He visits doctors from time to time for regular check-ups and other procedures. Dmytro’s family, like many others, couldn’t afford accommodation near the hospital in the center of Kyiv. But they need to stay close to the hospital not only for regular visits but also to get there fast in case of an emergency. 💬 "He is always smiling," says the mother of 11-year-old Bohdan. Bohdan is a very active kid. At home, he never "disappears" at the smartphone for a long time. Instead, he plays football, rides a bike, and fishes. Now the boy is treated for cancer of the lymph nodes at the Kyiv Regional Oncology Center, but he doesn't sit still in the hospital either – he walks with his mother from time to time.
