As the University of Regina Chamber Singers celebrate 50 years of choral excellence, we’re shining a spotlight on one of the many remarkable alumni whose lives were shaped by the experience. Dr. Jean-Marie Kent, BMusEd’89 (Distinction), first joined the Chamber Singers in 1985 as an alto under the direction of Kathryn Laurin. Now, she’s the artistic director of the Seattle Children's Chorus and teaches choral music at Holy Names Academy, Seattle. July 1 2024 marked our 50th Anniversary and a year of celebration as an independent university although our roots as Regina College date back more than a century. . Todays U of R along with our federated colleges Campion College Luther College and First Nations University of Canada offers worldclass postsecondary education to more than 17200 students and with more than 92000 alumni our graduates are making a positive difference in Saskatchewan and around the world.
