Grandma Galina lives alone. She's been a widow for 4 years. Since we started visiting, she's become very open to spiritual conversations and prayer! She listens to the audio bible we gave her, and and carries it in her pocket when she works in the garden. Galina helps her neighbors as much as she can. This past winter, she couldn't step on her foot, after an examination, the doctor said that her knee joint was destroyed. Grandma Galina's son borrowed 100,000 hryvnia ($2,400) from a local businessman for a knee operation. They collected money around the city to pay off the debt! Since the operation, granGrandmadma Galina is gradually started ing to walk. She always thanks God and our volunteers for the help, prays with me for peace in Ukraine, fand or the war to end. For Easter, I bought "Edygeisky" cheese for the widows, it is soft and tasty. Many widows have no teeth or only a few and cannot chew anything hard. Everyone was grateful for cheese, sour cream, and butter. These products are expensive and widows cannot afford to buy them.
