We’re thrilled to announce MOYANA as this years performer for the True Chicago Conference! A R&B, jazz, and neo-soul artist whose name means “little spirit” in Shona. Her debut album PTCHWRK (produced by 7VNTH) gained recognition from the Chicago Tribune, These Days Magazine, Vocalo, and Chicago Reader. She is an Academy voting member and award-winning artist, MOYANA has graced stages like Lollapalooza, City Winery, and Rockwood Music Hall. She’s also collaborated with the ACLU, GLAAD, and more. She also works as a music educator with Chicago Opera Theater and the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and offers private vocal coaching for performing professionals.
