In its 2024 fiscal year, the organization successfully assigned a CASA advocate to every foster child who needed one across its service area, totaling 678 children. This comprehensive effort involves collaboration with a broad network of stakeholders, including volunteers, staff, attorneys, judges, foster families, family service workers, and supporters.
National Context
CASA of Northwest Arkansas is part of a larger movement that began in Seattle in 1977. Today, there are over 85,000 advocates serving in nearly 950 state and local programs across the United States, all working towards ensuring that abused and neglected children find safe and permanent homes.

Last year, we were overjoyed to celebrate as 138 young people were reunified with their families as they exited foster care. Reunifications are a big deal, require hard work, and are not without challenges. This year, we are so excited to share that thanks to some incredible partners in our community, we have the opportunity to celebrate these special days in a new way - through Reunification Baskets. Each basket is filled with items that bring joy, foster connection, and meet basic needs, and is a small token of congratulations to families as they continue their journey. During the last month, we were able to give out our first two baskets! We want to thank Fast Lane Entertainment , Amazeum, Play Street Museum Fayetteville, Nadine Baum Charitable Foundation, Arkansas Community Foundation, and Kimberly-Clark for helping make this happen! Through the total efforts of volunteers staff attorneys judges foster families family service workers board members donors and supporters CASA of Northwest Arkansas provided a CASA advocate for every foster child who needed one in the four counties we serve Benton Carroll Madison and Washington counties in our 2024 fiscal year a total of 678 children.
