Gaining sleep for some is great… for rehabbers and those that have somewhat “strict hours”, well, that’s not so great. Try telling little ones that eat every 4 hours they have to wait and extra hour. Not possible. The wildlife ambassadors that are use to being on a schedule, staring intently knowing they rely on us to receive their meals. We know we know we know, some people may say “well in the wild they eat when they want and when they can catch a meal”. While this maybe true, most rehabber keep the same schedule, regardless of how time changes, for things are “scheduled” just right, weather it’s medicines, bandages changing, feeding, cleaning, washing their bedding, checking kennels for loose areas, and so forth. Then trying to fit it our own home life. Yes we know what all this entails, and yet we still love caring for the animals!! We expect the unexpected, and our schedules do go off kilter and are not always the same. Yet we try to keep it somewhat the same, just so we keep things straight and we don’t slide off our cracker and go crazy 🤣🤣🤣… or crazier than we already are!! Po has gladly ate two healthy made meals and snuggled back into his bed this morning. 🙏🏻 he gains strength and weight. For being an “older man”, he very well be an ambassador and live the remainder of what sweet time is left us❤️ (fb)
