This data warns of the potential for a coming national recession. New Jersey's situation contrasts sharply with Pennsylvania, which the analysis finds to be one of the States experiencing economic growth due to their healthcare and education sectors. Mr. Zandi's findings about New Jersey's economy match recent GSI analysis which found the State's GDP in the Second Quarter to be a full point lower than the national average.
