Singer Celeste Veillon and piano accompanist Bill Grimes packed the room Tuesday morning as they brought the Great American Songbook to life with mesmerizing music and sparkling commentary. Who knew that George Gershwin's wife Ira was such a prolific lyricist? (JOKING!! Attendees know what I'm talking about!) A joyous finale to the Music Club's 2024-2025 season. The Music Club of Baton Rouge Our 116th season promoting music performance in Baton Rouge Photo highlights from our 20232024 season Photo highlights from our 202223 season About the Music Club of Baton Rouge Our Mission The Music Club of Baton Rouge encourages and supports the study and performance of music in the greater Baton Rouge area. Music Performances Active members and guest performers present recital programs and study programs 10 months of the year at First United Methodist Church in downtown Baton Rouge Music Scholarships Annually funds 26000 in scholarships for 12 deserving students in the LSU School of Music and one person in organ music study in the greater Baton Rouge area. 2025 Music Club Scholarship Fundraiser From the Bayou to Broadway David Easley entertained all with lively show tunes at the cocktail hour Music Club Luncheon Fundraiser 2025 Support the Musical Arts. Well see you March 20 2025 at the Lod Cook Alumni Center.
