Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. To date, EMF has awarded more than $21 million to advance EM research and education. Since 1972, EMF has awarded $20 million to advance emergency medicine research and education. The Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF) promotes education and research that develops career emergency medicine investigators, improves patient care and provides the basis for effective health policy. As the oldest national foundation organized for the specific purpose of funding research in emergency medicine, the Foundation's work expands the body of knowledge that is paramount to the advancement of the specialty of emergency medicine.
