Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to honor the traditions, knowledge and contributions that strengthen our communities across Oregon. At OSU Extension, we believe learning and connection should be accessible to everyone. Across the state, we partner with Hispanic and Latino communities through programs like Juntos, which supports students and families in education and career goals; Seed to Supper, which helps families grow their own food through hands-on gardening classes in English and Spanish; and the AgriStress Helpline, which provides 24-hour mental health support for those working in agriculture, forestry and fishing, along with other programs that build community well-being across Oregon. Oregon teens are turning leadership lessons into real-life impact. Through OSU Extension 4-H’s Training for Teens, youth in Umatilla County are learning teamwork, communication, confidence and problem-solving skills that prepare them for the future.
