We are committed to promoting golf's value system, honoring the game's history and Scottish roots and celebrating its many beauties and virtues. We conduct conferences, clinics and local gatherings. We advocate respect for the environment, sponsor charitable activities and publish a unique art and literary journal which is an anthology of poetry, fiction, commentary, historical essays and fine art inspired by golf. Membership is open to all who support our vision and purpose. Our name honors Shivas Irons, the mystical golf professional who was introduced to us in Michael Murphy's classic novel, "Golf in the Kingdom."
