What a meaningful, fun day for planting! Students in Mr. George’s class enjoyed a morning off campus to share their skills learned in the ACCESS Gardens Program. ☀️🌱 They planted a variety of herbs and flowers, while appreciating leisure and recreational time with friends. The ACCESS Gardens is a horticulture program designed for students and clients with language and learning disabilities. The program teaches practical aspects of retail employment: customer service, inventory, stocking, handling payments transactions and more. Last week our ACCESS Early Childhood Pre-K 4 classes performed "The Carrot Seed" for faculty, students, and families.🥕✨ They did a wonderful job performing the story as part of their unit on "the Carrot Seed" by Ruth Krauss.
