Students in the UAMS MASH program, or Medical Applications of Science for Health, visited our medical center last week. The program helps high school students explore careers in health care. Students were able to shadow team members in various departments throughout the hospital and some shared these comments about the experience: “I admired the patience and willpower of pharmacy people, the kindness of the speech therapist, the precision of the imaging team, and the effectiveness and teamwork of the OR teams.” “I saw that health care workers are patient, kind, and focused.
