We recently wrapped up another successful History Camp for students entering grades 3–6! This year’s theme explored the years 1800–1820, with hands-on activities diving into Ohio’s indigenous cultures, the settlement of the Northwest Territory, Lewis & Clark’s expedition, the War of 1812, and early trades, crafts, and farm life in Washington County. 👏 A huge thank you to our 23 presenters—many of whom led multiple sessions—who helped bring 30 interactive programs to life! Campers got to learn from professionals with: 🌿 Ohio Department of Natural Resources 🏺 Ohio History Connection – Newark Earthworks 📚 Marietta College Special Collections 🏛️ Campus Martius & Ohio River Museum 🍎 Hidden Hills Orchard 🐐 Gab & the Goats Petting Zoo We’re already planning for our 2026 History Camp, which will highlight the years 1820–1840.
