This Monday, we are featuring Bebika Neupane, the captain of Shooters’ Girl Football Team. She recently played in WE United’s 9th Annual Women’s Futsal Tournament, which was her first time taking part in WE United’s tournament. ⚽ Bebika has enjoyed playing sports since she was young. She got interested in football because of her brother, who used to watch games all the time. Watching matches with him made her excited about the sport. “I grew up in a village where sports weren’t a priority, especially for girls,” Bebika says. After coming to Kathmandu for her studies, she got introduced to the Shooters’ Girl team. She shares that she is thankful to Indu Duwal, a former national player and manager of Shooter’s Girls, and Rajesh Shakya, coach and mentor of Shooter’s Girls, for always supporting her and guiding her journey.☀️ Bebika says playing in the tournament helped her and her team gain more confidence and encouraged them to take part in more events in the future. We saw her leadership shine on the field.
