Greetings PMB supporters! I want to share some wonderful news about one of our scholarship recipients, Miniya Hedgeman. I received a lovely email this past December about her great achievement of graduating from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. From Miniya herself: "Two years ago, I received the PMB Memorial Scholarship. Recently, I graduated from North Carolina A&T State University in 2.5 years! I graduated on December 14th with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Thank you so much for your scholarship and for providing me with a laptop to complete my studies! I am greatly appreciative!" As the Founder and Executive Director, and on behalf of our board, thank you for being such great supporters of this fund in my mother's honor. Our scholarship is there to fill the financial gap between transitioning from high school to college. And we additionally support the transition of college graduation- I know I'm not the only one who had to wait years before affording an official diploma frame, well not for our graduates!
