Moreover did you know that endometriosis is a chronic condition affecting millions of individuals worldwide and despite its prevalence many still suffer in silence due to anticipated stigma particularly within marginalized communities. A 2021 study found that in a population of persons with symptoms suggestive of endometriosis those who were immigrants to the USA identified as a sexual and gender minority individual and were Black or Latina had higher levels of anticipated stigma compared to their U.
