Today is the International Day of Rural Women. In rural Kenya, women carry much of the daily work — raising children, farming, collecting water, cooking and taking care of their families. Many never had the chance to go to school, and opportunities for paid work are still limited. At Eco Moyo, we see the strength and resilience of women every day — from our dedicated staff who keep the school running, to the mothers who make sure their children attend class and the women in our Adult Literacy Club who are learning to read and write for the first time. These women are creating change for themselves, their families and their community. During our Girls Day on Saturday, our guest speaker reminded the girls and women that progress for women starts with education and equal chances. When they get the opportunity to learn and grow, everyone benefits. We are happy and grateful for playing a part in this in our community, but we still have long way to go and we are not planning to stop 🩷 (fb)

Our creativity lab🤩🤩🤩 We like painting, drawing, singing, jumping, rolling, playing guitar, recording music, modelling, storytelling ,role playing and everything in between. Kids have fun as they glow and it’s always beautiful to see their inner bulb light on as they have fun learning and playing games. The creativity lab has become a complementary space for learning through the curriculum as it supports other learning areas and offers different ways to instruct the kids and facilitate learning. 🖥️🎨🎭🎼🧩 (fb)
