This September, for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re reminded of why the Ellie Ruby Foundation exists: to bring smiles, strength, and support to children battling pediatric cancer. We closed out summer with our annual Splash for Ellie this Labor Day weekend — an incredible day filled with water slides, foam pits, basketball tournaments, games, prizes, fresh oven pizza, Dippin’ Dots, cotton candy, popcorn, and so much more. Friends and families came together from near and far, not just to soak up the last splash of summer, but to stand with children fighting cancer. At every event, we smile in celebration of Ellie — her resilience, her victory, her life. But we also hold space for the many children who are still in their fight, and for the angels taken too soon. This month is for them. 💛 Gold is the color of pediatric cancer awareness — the color of strength, power, and royalty. Our pediatric warriors and angels deserve nothing less. Yet pediatric cancer remains severely underfunded, and children desperately need better resources, care, and cures. This September, let’s stand together. Let’s be bold. Let’s go gold. Together, we can change the future — so every child has the chance to tell their story, just like Ellie.
