Our mission is to help domesticate wild gourmet and functional mushrooms for home and commercial cultivation, providing more opportunities for sustainability and adaptogenic research for a better future of mycology in agriculture. Shroomate explores U.S. locations to study mushroom habitats. Collected mushroom and soil samples are brought to our lab for research and development. Samples are processed into spore prints, genetics isolated on agar plates, and liquid culture produced. Remaining specimens are dried, cataloged, and stored, with data added to our online database. Once liquid cultures are functional, they’re used for domestication, distribution, and sales. Genetics from other labs are compared to our collected species. Suitable substrates for indoor/outdoor cultivation are developed based on wild conditions. Shroomate provides strong mushroom genetics, simple grain spawn, and substrate recipes for homes, small farms, and commercial use.
