This is such an amazing program!!! These students add so much to a community and a High School during their exchange year. As for outbound students, you cannot imagine the life-changing experience they receive. A year abroad, learning a new language, new traditions, and culture. Katie Rolan and Hellen Akinyi from goal4.org were our speakers today. The mission of this agency is to end child mortality by equipping mothers, health workers and their families with the knowledge and tools they need to prevent illness. This program provides safe birth centers and helps educate expectant mothers to help prevent infant mortality. Hellen showed photos and talked about the ongoing development of good maternity care and safe birth centers in Kenya. Thank you for speaking with our club today. (fb)
