Please heed this warning... This week a one week old kitten was found lying in the road with injuries consistent with having fallen from a moving vehicle and left to bake on the hot asphalt long enough to become severely burned and dehydrated. Luckily a passing motorist noticed the tiny orange tyke and came to his aid. Hazard (as we have named him) is undergoing treatment and care at LHAS, and we are cautiously hopeful that he will make a full recovery (minus a couple toes and most of his tail). Please, please check your cars especially during cold and/or rainy seasons as mama cats will tuck their litters into any available shelter to keep them out of the weather. (fb)

Kitten Alert... Two 10 week old kittens available and needing a home. The gray, black and white striped cutie is female, and the handsome white, blue eyed sweetheart is male (he is also deaf).
