About Us Rwenzori Center for Research and Advocacy RCRA is a Ugandan community based NonGovernmental organization registered by law of Uganda Reg INDR150313682NB with a national office in Kasese Plot 5 Koro Road and a regional coordination office in Kampala. With the mission of empowering communities for improved livelihoods healthcare and education appropriate for the 21st century and envisions enabling an informed and healthier society. As a multiservice advocacy organization works with all age groups with a particular focus on the most underserved vulnerable people for example those living on low incomes adolescents women and young mothers people affected and infected with HIVAIDS refugees and victims of genderbased violence and elderly people caring for orphans and vulnerable children. Our Strategic Areas RCRA contributes to empowering target marginalized and hard to reach communities to take actions that prevent ill health for both communicable and noncommunicable diseases demand for access to quality health services At RCRA Uganda Gender is one of the crosscutting issues along with right to health environment human rights that RCRA mainstreams and makes integral part of programme planning implementation monitoring evaluation and analysis We invest in continuous understanding of the drives of community challenges through implementation research generating evidence for our advocacy and community programs development.
