TJMHC is pleased to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors. We are excited to have them share their energy, enthusiasm, and expertise to support our mission! David Hazan is a real estate professional with Long Realty and the Chief Operating Officer and Board Member of the Morris A. Hazan Family Foundation. He is also a member of JPSA's Young Men's Group, and is excited to join TJMHC's Board of Directors to be more engaged in Jewish communal work and life. David is a Tucson native and lives with his wife and young son in the West University area. Brenda Kazen is a Tucson native, spending most of her life here after her parents arrived in 1958. She is a retired high school counselor and former English teacher. She now spends her time riding her bike and walking her old man dog, Arthur. Brenda also volunteers as a docent at TJMHC, with the Homing Project, and tutoring Israeli teens in English. She and her wife Kathleen, also a Tucson native, have two adult sons and two grandchildren. Rachel Rosenfeld, Ph.D. is a Sociologist and Demographer who just finished her doctorate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where her research focused on the impacts of environmental toxins and climate change on marginalized communities. She moved to Tucson a little over a year ago with her husband, a Tucson native, and her two small children. Rachel has been active in the Jewish community in various places that she has lived, including Jewish Social Services of Madison, Hillel, and the JCC. Part of her interest in serving on the board is that Rachel's grandparents were German Jews who fled the Nazi regime. (fb)

TJMHC is excited to welcome Emily Hager as our new Director of Programming and Education. Emily is a native Tucsonan and completed her Masters in Art History at UofA in 2021, with an emphasis on Nazi-era provenance research. She has previously worked at the National Park Service Western Archeological Conservation Center and the University of Arizona Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research, and volunteered at TJMHC doing archival work before joining the staff.
